Link Url Tag: A reference (link) from some point in one hypertext document to (some point in) another document or another place in the same document. It is defined as

Search engines evaluate the links that you have. Search engine spider also find other webpages from the links. Some engines look for keywords in the hyperlinks and any text immediately surrounding the hyperlinks. You should include your most important keyword phrases in the link, and possibly the surrounding text.
Below is something suggestion:
- Make sure your most important keyword or phrase are in your links tags.
- Make sure your link are readable and understandable.
- Avoid numbering your pages as a1.html, a2.html, a3.html and et al.
- Consider separating keywords in page names by dashes or underscores such as search-engine-optimization.html or search_engine_optimization.html.
- Link popularity in some search engine such as Google today is even more important than ever. All else being equal, the higher your Page Rank, the higher your ranking. Increasing the number of links (link popularity) that point to your site will help you in the results pages. You should only link to sites that are in the same field as your site, and stay away from bad ¡®neighbourhoods¡¯ or from so-called link farms or ¡®free-for-all¡¯.
